We process personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 (Act No. 11 of 2022) of the United Republic of Tanzania and its regulations, under the oversight of the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). We collect and process your data on lawful bases including your consent, the performance of your application/admission, and compliance with our legal obligations.

2. Information We Collect

Technical & Usage Information:

  • IP address and browser type

  • A persistent visitor identifier stored in a cookie to recognise returning visitors and count visits
  • Session cookies and authentication tokens
Where you have accepted analytics cookies, we may link your earlier visits to your applicant account so we can understand which channels help students find us. Analytics tracking only takes place after you consent via our cookie banner - see the Cookies section below.

8. Cookies & Consent

We use two categories of cookies:

  • Essential cookies - required to run the system (login session, security/CSRF tokens, and your cookie-consent choice). These are always active because the platform cannot function without them.
  • Analytics & attribution cookies - optional. A cookie (tipm_vid, valid for up to 12 months) gives your browser an anonymous identifier so we can count unique visitors, measure visits, and see which marketing channels bring students to us.

Your choice: analytics cookies are set only after you select “Accept all” on the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics or attribution tracking takes place. You can change your decision at any time by clearing the cookies in your browser settings, which will make the banner appear again.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or on-system notification. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
